Student Training Program for Solo Jumps
For the student who would like to learn to skydive or make a solo skydive, Skydive Sussex offers the following alternative.   Using this training method you will attend two seperate classes, make two instructional Tandem jumps and solo by your third jump.
   The student training program at Skydive Sussex is the most progressive program available in the United States.
   The equipment is the most modern on the market and the instructors are highly experienced. Each instructor is rated by the United States Parachute Association.Our instructors have logged thousands of jumps.
Marcio and Cathy with AFF student Teaching you to fly a parachute safely to the ground(canopy control) is the top priority. For this reason students will begin their training in tandem with an instructor. Just like learning to fly an airplane having an instructor present greatly increases safety. You will also learn canopy control at an accelerated rate.
The training starts with a two hour session designed to teach you to fly a parachute. This is called the advanced canopy control class or ACC.
The accelerated freefall (AFF) portion of the instruction will begin with a four hour class on proper use of solo equipment, solo body flight and emergency procedures.

   The AFF training may be completed in as few as six jumps on solo student gear. You will be accompanied by two instructors on levels 2 through 3 and one instructor on levels 4 through 7. By graduation you will be able to pack your own parachute.

Discounts:
We gladly accept major credit cards but if you pay in cash you qualify for a $10.00 discount on each class or jump. Sorry, no personal checks.

Learning Hints:
We recommend that you schedule your jumps as close together as possible. If you wait more than thirty days between skydives you will have to repeat your previous level

Legal:
You must be 18 years old. Be prepared to show a photo identification.


General Information:

We supply all necessary equipment. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed previous to or during operating hours.You must make a reservation and leave a deposit.
Be prepared to stay all day. Show up rain or shine.
